MAFEX – Maghreb Food Exhibition 2014: From December 11 - 13 meeting point for experts of the food and packaging industry in Casablanca

Business professionals planning to visit MAFEX – Maghreb Food Exhibition can now download their visitor admission ticket free of charge at http://mafex-morocco.com/en/. The specialised exhibition will take place from December 11 to 13 at O.F.E.C Casablanca. More than 120 international and national exhibitors will present food and halal products, machinery and equipment for food processing, packaging, cooling and storage systems as well as ingredients. This year the Egyptian packaging exhibition "Pack2Pack", which is organised by Nile Trade Fair, will take place for the first time in conjunction with MAFEX.

The German Agricultural Society (DLG e.V.) invites all visitors to take part in the conference, taking place on December 11 and December 12. Eleven experts from renowned companies like GEA TDS or Multivac will inform about the cheese and dairy industry in Morocco, import and export of food products as well as packaging solutions.

Since 2012 the trade fair organisers IFWexpo Heidelberg GmbH and IEC Maroc have organised the exhibition MAFEX: “This time six national pavilions from Germany, Poland, Egypt, China, Turkey and Tunisia will be present at MAFEX. This clearly shows the rising interest of international companies”, said Stefan Kresse, Managing Director of IFWexpo Heidelberg.

The Moroccan government supports the development of an independent food processing industry by providing financial support for the development of this sector as well as low-interest credits. In spite of the rising numbers of supermarkets of European style the demand of products meetings European standards of hygiene, packaging and labeling can often not be satisfied. On the contrary, the majority of food products are still being imported from abroad.
