Anne Marie QUEMENER, Officer in the Order of Agricultural Merit

Anne Marie Quéméner, SPACE Exhibition Manager, was awarded as Officer in the Order of Agricultural Merit by Mr Guillaume Roué, First Vice-President of the National AMOMA and Officer of Agricultural Merit, on Friday 12 December, in Rennes City Hall, in France.

An honorary distinction in the service of agriculture

Anne Marie Quéméner's promotion as Officer in the Order of Agricultural Merit recognizes her contribution and involvement in the agricultural world, both regionally and internationally, in the service of the livestock industry and all stakeholders in the sector.

An exemplary career at the heart of SPACE

For more than three decades, Anne Marie Quéméner has been working to develop and promote SPACE, one of Europe's largest exhibitions dedicated to livestock, which attracts professionals from around the world every year.

Under her leadership, the Show has strengthened its international dimension, its role as a platform for exchange and innovation, and its roots in the economic world and the agricultural sector. Her leadership and commitment were warmly praised during the ceremony by Mr Guillaume Roué, First Vice President of Amoma Nationale, and by Mrs Nathalie Appéré, Mayor of Rennes and President of Rennes Metropolis.

During a speech recounting her career and the evolution of SPACE, Anne Marie Quéméner paid tribute to her team and close relatives, and also expressed her gratitude to all the women and men who contribute, year after year, to the success of the Show. She also reiterated SPACE's fundamental mission to be a professional, international, and welcoming Show.

"I accept this award as recognition of my work and that of my entire team. It is also an honor for the region I come from, central Brittany, and all its farmers. I would like to pay tribute to them here, fully aware of their current economic and health difficulties. It also looks to farmers around the world, particularly in Africa. Let us take their outstretched hand and help them meet the global food challenge together.”
